Michael Ray King grew up in a small town in West Virginia. The first twenty-two years of his life was
spent in the lovely mountains of his home state. Upon graduation from college in 1981 he moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he
lived for the next seventeen years. It was in Raleigh that he met his wife Bobbie.
Michael and Bobbie have six children ranging from two years old to twenty-six as of the publication of
this book. In 1998 Michael relocated his family to Florida, and is now living in Palm Coast.
While basketball, bicycling and writing are some of his passions, it is his love of mountains that will
someday carry him back there. He loves snow skiing with one of his daughters and plays basketball with his youngest son regularly.
Bobbie and two of his daughters love horseback riding and one day the family aspires to have a rural home with horses, dogs and
crackling fireplaces. Long walks on crisp autumn days are Michael's favorite times in life.
Michael is currently working on a book for the Joy & Care Giving Foundation, a non-profit organization
that is building much needed schools and libraries in the Philippines. Helping children is high on his list of priorities. He
coaches his youngest son's basketball team and continues to learn how to be the best father he can be. |
